I have enjoyed my break from school, work, routine, etc more than words can describe. It has been refreshing to the core. I am thankful to the Lord for this time to enjoy life, His word, and just a different pace. There is much to say in the future about what God has been doing in the Garrison family, but another time.
Things that I have enjoyed about the holiday:
1) Being about to talk to our families about the true meaning of Christmas and some of our thoughts on how to instill this in our future family (not hinting at anything there, just praying and thinking about the future)
2) Spending time with our family that was stress free....shocker!! Boundaries and Plans really do work!
3) Getting whooped up on by the Wii Fit
4) Playing rockband with my entire family, HILARIOUS!
5) Enjoying a new christmas eve tradition with an adopted extended family, which happens to be one of the most entertaining and friendly families in existence
6) Beginning to read a book I love
7) Reconnecting with old friends and it not being any work to do so.. Love you Sam and Angela
8) Finally getting a plane ticket to FLORIDA...yipee for fellowship in March
9) Watching our dogs fall in love with a doggie door and look for one at home...providing much laughter!
10) Coming home to deep authentic community that makes this insanely busy and sometimes irritating place feel like home
